The Human Resources Institute of New Zealand held their annual awards evening last night but which industry big-hitters took home a trophy?

The Human Resources Institute of New Zealand held their annual awards evening last night with scores of top professionals in attendance – sadly, not everyone could take home a coveted trophy.

Award for Talent Development and Management: Waitemata District Health Board

Award for HR Technology in association with ELMO Talent Management Software: NZ Transport Agency

Award for Organisational Change and Development in association with Human Synergistics: Holcim (NZ) Ltd

Christian Dahmen Memorial Award for HR Innovation in association with TakeON!: NZLEAD

Supportive CEO of the Year in association with Strategic Pay: Mark Adamson, Fletcher Building

HR Person of the Year: Kim Herrick

“My team is absolutely the best team I could hope to work for,” said HR Generalist of the Year Laurent Sylvester, who also thanked those at the organization for welcoming him into their family. 

IAG’s Kim Herrick picked up the award for both HR Specialist of the Year and HR Person of the Year, although surprised at the prestigious wins, Herrick delivered an rousing speech that struck a chord with HR professionals across the room. 

“Let’s hope gender inequality becomes something of the past and equality something we don’t have to fight for in the future,” she said in closing.
