How not to become an industrial action statistic

Employment lawyer shares tips HR best practice in industrial relations and collective bargaining

How not to become an industrial action statistic

First there was the strike at Burger King, with workers demanding better pay and conditions. Then Premier Bacon workers took industrial action to support their pay claims. It’s not been a good few months for workers or their employers.

In an interactive in-conference workshop at the upcoming National HR Summit New Zealand, Jennifer Mills, Partner at Anthony Harper, will explore HR best practice in industrial relations.

Her session will cover:

  • Handling negotiation changes when a collective is in place
  • HR best practice when dealing with unions
  • Managing multi-party bargaining
  • What options do you have in the event of industrial action?

This session is a concurrent session with two other roundtable workshops – “Flying solo – HR excellence for SMEs” and “Authentic leadership for HR directors”. View the full agenda here.

There are limited seats left to the National HR Summit New Zealand so book in soon in order not to miss out. Bring your team and you could still save on registrations.

The Summit will be held at the Hilton Auckland on Tuesday 21 August.
