How to investigate bullying allegations in the workplace

by |
Once an employer receives an allegation of bullying, it has a duty to investigate the claim and take the necessary steps to protect its employee. HR plays a central role in such situations and needs to be aware of the potential legal trips and traps that can arise throughout the process.

This topic will be explored at HRD’s 2018 Employment Law Masterclass series, returning to three cities around New Zealand in the next few months.

Partners from New Zealand’s top workplace law firms will provide a comprehensive guide to investigating and dealing with workplace bullying claims. Discussion points include where the courts draw the line between reasonable management and bullying; employees’ individual liability for bullying and how to conduct a rigorous investigation into allegations.
