A specialist baker of explicit gingerbreads will pay two female workers compensation after he gave them two of the inappropriate treats.
An Austrian baker has agreed to pay two female workers compensation for sexual harassment after he gave them gingerbread penises topped with whipped cream
The two bakery assistants claimed the cookies were intended to sexually intimidate them and took the baker to court demanding £2000 (NZ$3700) in compensation, the Austrian Times reported.
The baker, 47, claimed he was only showing the assistants a new product so they would know how to promote it to the shop's customers.
"We have a very different clientele; these cakes are really popular with stag nights and hen nights and other similar events. These clients like our sexy products and they use them in their own lives as a bit of fun. It's no place for prudes," the Austrian Times reported him as saying.
"This item has gone on to become one of our very best sellers," he added.
Judges at the labour court in Salzburg adjourned the case after being told an out-of-court settlement had been reached.
The pair agreed to take the payment, but the court heard that they have since been fired from their jobs.
